Sperryn’s fire resistant emergency control valves are independently certified to GIS/V7-3 and are BSI kitemarked. Operating pressures up to 500 mbar and up to 5 bar.
As one of the several key features and benefits the unique integral lug and locking screw enables secure isolation of the valve in the closed position only, even if the operating lever is removed.
The electrically insulated design is an extension to Sperryn’s proven portfolio of fire resistant emergency control valves that have been used by the gas distribution networks for over 20 years.
The Sperryn Meter Box Adaptor incorporates a body to provide best-in-class protection against corrosion which increases service life and is suitable for use in all types of meter box.
It incorporates the well-established Sperryn Crimp joint and a BSPT threaded transition connection. This is completed by a security C-clip to attach the Sperryn MBA to the box.
The Sperryn Meter Box Adaptor is designed, constructed and tested fully in accordance with GIS/PL/3.
